There have been a a number of Impulse topics recently posted in the OEC Forum but little is being mentioned about the Magna.

To Magna owners and those interested in the Magna; Stand up and be heard. Both myself and Kit would like to hear your comments.

Also note the Zytel Magna is now available and has been on the market for three weeks now.

Thank you for your attention.

As an owner of one of Kit Carson's custom Model 4 (the knife the Magna is based on), I can say, without any doubt, that Outdoor Edge has captured the essence of a Carson folder – formidable size, hard working, and tank tough construction. It's got impressive heft and a solid lockup. That recessed clip is great. Along with the handle's contours, the clip "hides" from the grip, translating into a comfortable purchase. I've been very happy with the knife, kudos to OE for another great folder!

Thanks for the report Dexter. I'm glad there is at least one person out there with something to say. The rest of you feel free to sound off. We want to hear your comments.

Hello,

I bought both the Magna and the Impulse about
two weeks ago. Both are smooth, no rough edges. No complaints with either. I have never purchased any knives from Outdoor Edge before, but if they make knives of whis quality, they have a client in me.

I have a magna!!!!!
I love it . Its the best folding survival knife I have. I carry it in my auto in case we have trouble and need to chop , dig, cut heavy rope ect. I feel it a lifesaver type knife. I very happy with mine.

I just bought a Magna three days ago and I love it.
I went to a local gunstore to buy an Impulse actually. The impulse was gone vbut they had a plain alu scales Magna there. Held it bought it. It´s a tank of a knife, the poor mans SOCOM I´d say. I like the balance which is great because it´s a heavy knife. I have used it for all kinds of utility chores over the weekend and it mastered all tasks formidable. As a defensive tool the Magna could work well. Closed it´s an excellent impact weapon and the balance and weight makes for excellent movability. I practiced some of my FMA drills with the blade and it moved almost by it´s self.
The reccessed clip is also a great idea, it inspires trust eventhough it might eat my jeans pockets.
It has only one drawback, I wouldn´t wanna fall into the water with it. It´s weight would surely drown me.
