So I recently saw and handled a Bestech Beluga and I really liked it. Blade just over 3", 12C27 steel, G10 handles. It felt and operated great and I just ordered 2 of them for 44$ each.
When I researched a bit, I found that people familiar with them liked them but thought the regular price of about 52$ was high for a 12C27 blade.
In my mind, the Beluga would be a competitor to the Tenacious. Many people seem to think the Tenacious is a great value at this same price point. The Tenacious has 8CRMOV steel, and construction no better (maybe not as good) than the Beluga. I know it is personal preference and I don't need assurance for my pick, but do you think sometimes opinions form because of a name or familiarity or whatever?
