How About The LM "Sidekick"?

I have an “original” Supertool that I usually carry in an equipment case (I am a professional photographer) or on my belt. Lately have decided that I’d like something a bit lighter, but still with a hefty pliers. The Sidekick seems like a good choice, but I have seen very little mention of it here. So: any opinions on the Sidekick?

Like you, I am a photographer, and for years belt carried a Super Tool paired with a Micra for the scissors and other small implements. It worked so well for me I was set and never considered anything else until the Charge TTi came along. That added one hand opening to the mix, and the bit system sealed the deal. It is in my current EDC rotation and always what I carry on the job. I don't know what sort of photography you do, but if you are a generalist, like me, I couldn't more highly recommend this particular multi-tool to you. Can't help you on the weight, though. It is only 2/3 of an ounce less.

The Sidekick is a nice multi-tool for the price, and probably a good all-arounderl. I don't think it is as useful for the needs of photography (depending on what you do, of course). I use mine for a variety of purposes, some of them involving screw heads the sidekick can't handle, and unlike the regular Leatherman tools, no adapter fits the Sidekick. On the subjective end, they don't look and feel as nice :barf: .
Guess I'm spoiled by the good stuff :) .

Unless you really want the saw you could go with the wingman and have scissors, or you could wait until the leatherman rebar comes out, no scissors, but all the same tools and a smaller package with a great pliers.
