Ok ok I know, I'm not a big Gerber fan, I know, it's not made in America.

But I also know that this is one of the strangely sexiest production knives i've ever seen, and as such I have to ask... how's it perform?

Also i've heard it has a 4" blade, if so, why's it called the 3.00 and not the 4.00?

They're nice knives -- reasonably priced, and of good quality. I was originally a little put off by the slickness of the rubber inserts in the handle, but a fellow forumite pointed out that cleaning them would help with that. They have a nice low-profile pocket clip like the now-defunct EDI's Genesis model, too.

Ditto what Razoredj said. They are a good value, even if the steel may not be to everyone's liking. And I agree, they look very cool (basic black can get a little boring after a while). IIRC, Smokey Mountain Knifeworks has a couple of versions for around $20 -- pretty hard to go wrong. I was actually thinking of buying a few to keep as "give aways" to friends and family to help grow the number of knifenuts.
