Does anyone here have any experience with this knife?
Is it a good knife for general/outdoor use?

How would you rate it against say a Mora?

It has a full tang...

thanks

My apologies there...

The knife in question is a six inch chrome molyb fixed blade with sheath, lanyard attachment midway between blade and handle, slightly exposed pommel(i think thats what you call it), serrations 3/4 down the blade
on the handle it says amazonas two( the o's are in the shape of triangles)

made in brazil...

hope this helps?

I found mine on a fishing peir ,no sheath. Its made by Tramontina seems very corrosion resistant. Sharpened up reel nice, but feels a little on the soft side. Could have been intended as a dive knife, with its little exposed tang.

Just registered to say this: I managed to find this exact knife in a river while camping Canada. It is still my favorite knife i own(of about 10), the blade is a bit soft but it does sharpen easily.

So about the corrosion resistance, i found it in a river where it had presumably been dropped the previous season as i found it just short of the shoreline underwater(the river goes down about 3-5 feet during the summer so it would make sense that someone dropped it out of their boat when the water was high) even after enough time for algae to have completely covered one side there was absolutely no rust. I simply rubbed off the algae, sharpened it up and have been using it as my main knife for about 7 years now.

I am a very happy camper as one might say:).

EDIT: ALSO, the "serrated" bit you are talking about is as far as i know not a serration but rather a fish scaler, as such i presume this to be a fishing knife rather then a dive knife(which would have serration for cutting fishing nets one might get caught in).
