what 's the meaning of "c66"

is this SEBENZA a limited edition?

Hello lachine

That's a nice knife.

It is not a Limited Edition. But it's still fairly rare as the blade steel is not the current choice of S30V.

As to the value, that's difficult, but the current Pheasant Tail model retails at $455. So, common sense will give you a good, fair value target.

As the the scale marks, that is C99, not C66.
What this indicates is it that your knife was make in the 3rd batch (C) in the year 1999 (99)

A beauty, too, if I do say so myself :)

thank,Roefisher,thank you for your kindness.
after reading you comment.i reexaminate the pix,i think i have seen the scale mark wrong,it should be CGG other than c66,what the meaning of "CGG"
?
u say "current Pheasant Tail model retails at $455." ,the BG42's price is higher than USD 455?

jmxcpter have lowered this knife , ,it's a comparision with your comment, i 'd like your more opinions.thanks.

I'd say with that sorta ugly fish hook thing on it, it's probably worth at least $49.00. I'm sorry you got stuck with that thing. To help you out, I'll give you twice that much for it. How about $100.00 shipped?

Just Kidding

I'd say of it was mine, I'd probably look for around $325.00 - $350 if you're patient, shipped insured. The Pheasant Tail is one of the more common decorated Sebbies and is a stock pattern, not a Unique or Unique Inlaid.

Nice knife. Should be worth near what you paid for it with a small depreciation because it's BG42 and a common
pattern.

Hello Lachine

If it is CGG, that means Computer Generated Graphics.

The code like C99 is used as a dating method. It is found on the inside ot the Titanium scales.

Yes, the current model is $455, but yours is slightly different. I was simply giving you a rough idea. Chris Reeve Knives themselves will give you a proper estimate of value, if that's what you need. All we, on the forums can say, is our personal opinions :( :D

I will say again, that's a rare and lovely knife.....personally I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell her

Cheers

Mark
