How about this?

Hi Will, I love Kiwis, have a stainless, a jigged bone, and two Santa Fes, one in malachite and one in dinosaur bone. Fit is excellent and they do a great mirror finish on the bolsters.

Here's a couple shots of the dino bone...

I guess I had never seen a Kiwi before this.
How nice.
My son just walked by and saw the pictures of the Kiwi and said, "Oh, a gentleman's knife - it looks like something you'd wear with a suit."
Another example of Spyderco's great design versatility.

I really like the one in black lip pearl. The one with mother of pearl and the little spidie insignia is really nice too. I need something to carry at the office that won't scare anyone and I figured I would like to do it in style. My other thought was a william henry but considering I just bought a sebenza my knife budget is a little low right now. Although I am going to the NY custom knife show this weekend. I don't think I will have any money left.

Thanks Ken, I must say your son has excellent taste. I own a couple C27 Jess Horns and consider them to exhibit the best fit and finish of any production knife I've ever handled. No real surprise there, they were expensive. What I do find amazing is that the jigged bone Kiwi, which one can easily find at a street price of under $90, comes extremely close to that level of quality. The all stainless version, which can be had for under $50, is an elegant little bargain. And now that New Graham is selling them, the Santa Fe pearl and dinosaur bone ones are pretty reasonable as well. As frosting on the cake, VG-10 takes a wicked edge and holds it darn near forever, and the PE wharncliffe pattern makes it super simple to sharpen on those rare occasions when that task becomes necessary. For my old hands, the all stainless version is a bit too small and slick to open easily one-handed. The fob on the one in the picture represents one solution to that problem, a more elegant solution will be impelemented on another one in the near future. To give a better idea of relative sizes, heres a shot of a jigged bone Kiwi, a C27 Horn, and a Delica.

Will, I'm going to be at the show Friday and Saturday, so if you see a 6'2" bald guy with short hair, a beard, and glasses either drooling over prototype Spydies or waiting patiently to do so, it just might be me.

I'm not a jigged bone fan myself but the 25th anniversary Delica is really something!

Interesting Senate, glad you like it, although our tastes certainly do differ. Does show that everyone looks at things through different eyes. I'm a major fan of jigged bone, but don't find the "worm" jigging used on the Delica the least bit attractive when combined with the amber coloring, much prefer the "peachseed" jigging employed on the Jess Horn and Kiwi. On the other hand, if worm jigged bone is left white, I think it makes an attractive, affordable, and available substitute for stag. The Persian in this tread is an example of that.

The fob on The Deacon's SS Kiwi looks a little like a modified hangman's knot.
I find knotted fobs interesting.
How did The Deacon tie this one?

It was pretty easy Ken. Just passed the cotton garden twine "rope" through the lanyard tube, then coiled and tied the hangmans knot with the knife already suspended in the "noose". When I had enough coils so that it looked "right" to me, I adjusted the size of the "noose" to my taste, threaded a wooden bead onto each end, knotted the ends, trimmed off the excess, dabbed on a bit of white glue on the knots and pulled the beads up onto them. One end of the hole in each bead had been enlarged beforehand, for about half its length, to accept the knot. Will just add that it took longer to write this than it did to make the lanyard. :D
