How about an INFI damascus blade? This would be absolutely beautiful. Not only would the folded steel be unique, it would be functional.

How about it Boss?

I know of a Hog who believes that INFI is, in fact, a no-contrast damascus.

What would you suggest that INFI be layered with?

How about Skunk getting off his 7 hour druke and post some pix of the new Store knife!

(Sorry - I've got to go to bed and I thought he'd have posted it by now. Guess he don't gut nun yet.)

Maybe a stainless. Just the contrast with INFI and stainless would be great aesthetically. Functionally is in question.

I agree that you can not beat the performance of INFI. But aesthetics is something that I am looking for in this. I wonder what the performance would be though of a Damascus INFI blade?

Saber grind?

You could try another super steel (mmmh, maybe 3v or something ) that would not detract from the strength and function, but could be etched for contrast.

Doubt it. Methinks INFI is subtly modified D2 tool steel, which does not take to forging.

Nah, INFI is not subtly modified D2.

And I seem to remember Jerry mentioning forged INFI before. I'm not certain, though. But perhaps some of the big hogs can clarify.
