How "all purpose" is Randall model #1?

Randall #1 is a great fighter- I won't argue at all. What I'm wondering is how well it does at other tasks. What can ya tell me?

I got my first Randall #1 when I was 14 years old. This was my first REAL knife and is still my all time favorite. I my early years this knife was used for everthing from camping, hunting, even fresh water SCUBA DIVING!!!
It road all over the country in a saddle bag on my HD. Comming home from motorcycle races in NH in was used to wrestle down, dispatch and remove the antlers of a HUGE buck that had been hit on the highway!! GOD I must have been CRAZY back then!!
Anyway, there may be knives better suited for individual needs, The double guard does get in the way...... BUT......If needed, the #1 can be counted on and will survive being used for just about anything!
