I was wondering if the knives are made in the factory itself,or if all the finished parts come into the factory, and the workers assemble them ?

I mean,do the blades/handles,backspings etc get manufactured at buck,or just assembled there?

In short,is Buck a manufacturing plant,or assembly plant?or both?

I wish i could tour the plant someday i find the knives are great and would love to know more about them,

I'm not positive of the heat treating over the years but I do know that before Paul Bos came to work for us, the company he worked at did some of our heat treating. In the early early days, Hoyt did the heat treating.

Thanks Joe!,I wonder how many long hours Hoyt Buck spent over the course of perfecting his recipe for heat treating.I bet very few ever came close to perfect as Hoyt did in those days..just read story of buck knives online, definately getting this book!
