How are the Cabochons held into the hole on the front of Sebenzas?

Are they glued?

If so does anyone know what sort of glue would work well?

How about Norland Optical adhesive?

I would have thought there would be a press fit to any gem stone inlay on the UG Sebenzas. The use of some sort of adhesive may well be involved but I don't know for sure.

Please excuse my ignorance, but how do you press fit?

Do you heat up the scale, then press the stone in, then once it cools it is jammed in there tightly?

"Press fitting" can be done a few ways but I can't comment on how CRK may or may not do it for gem stone inlays. The thumb studs on the Sebenza are press fitted for eg. but they don't need heated to achieve a good solid fit.

I dropped my large sebenza web- site with the black stone on a cement floor (bummer) and it did fall out. It was glued on with some kind of epoxy glue. The factory fixed it at no charge.
