Don't know if this has been brought up, but with collecting knives for a few years, I was wondering how the Buck knife company settles on a theme about a line of collectible knives, and how do you choose which model of knife this theme goes on? Can a person write, call, or now E-mail the company about an idea? I have some ideas, but don't know about how to get to the correct department, or does a theme only come from employees of the Buck company?

Ideas for specials come from a variety of places but the one thing most have in common is that they originated in house. A lot of the better specials that we have done in the past came from the mind of our custom guy, Wilde Bill Cody. When he starts messing around in the shop, great things happen!
Unfortunately, we can not accept ideas from outside the company. This for a variety of legal reasons.
