how are CRKT m16 SFs?

i got it as a departing gift from where i was working, but i dont really know much about knives, the last one i used was a 5 dollar knife from some gift shop. just wondering how good they are for general cutting, maybe self defense? and quality wise are they at least decent? BTW did some research and it comes with carson flippers, lawks system and aus 8 blade.
 
You'll probably get more responses if you post this question in the Blade Discussion Forum. This forum deals traditional style knives, as opposed to modern tactical style knives like the CRKT M16.

I have an M16, and my personal opinion is it's a very good knife especially for what it costs. I really like the Carson flipper and the LAWKS in particular.
