I'm wondering how everybody is doing? Exspecially Mike L.'s wife (last I heared she was home, how is recovory going?), Yvsa, and the others that have been sick or have had other problems. Please let us know the good news or bad so we can help (Prayers work:)). Thanks,

Thanks for the very nice thought and asking Heber.
The prayers are all very much appreciated and a continuing of them won't hurt any of us.:)

Myself, I'm doing fairly well. I'm really fortunate that I did *not* have a real heart attack as such, but having the electrolytes go all to hell did weaken me a helluva lot more than I thought it did.
Before that happened I didn't think I was "all that weak," just knew I wasn't quite up to par.
I guess it was the old man (me)lieing to himself that he's not all that bad.
My problem was that it happened so fast to me that I didn't realize what was going on!!!!
The really wonderful and fortunate part is that although I had a heart catherization there wasn't anything in there that they could mess with and I didn't need a bypass like Uncle Bill!!!!
I'm very, very thankful!!!!:D
The heart specialist decided my problem could be fixed with medicine and diet along with a strict water restriction that I'm still working on to get down daily.
Like I said, "I'm very, very thankful!!!!:D"

I'm doing Cardiac Rehab Mon, Wed and Fri and have built myself up a little in the couple or three weeks I've been going.
The stationary bike started killing my hips so the cardiac nurse consented for me to get back on the sit down stair stepper. When she 1st started me out on it my b/p dropped about 15 points and she didn't like that one bit, neither did I.:)
But the s/bike built up my legs enough so that my b/p didn't drop, but actually raised a bit the last time which is what is wanted.
The cardiac nurse even consented to let me raise the work load on both the stair stepper and the arm bike.
I missed yesterday because of the injection I have to do on Tuesday night making me nauseous, but I will be there tomorrow you can bet your sweet bippy on that.

After this episode is over I know that I will be offered a membership in the Health Club with the inititation fee rescinded and will just have to make a monthly payment.
I've talked it over with Barb and we've decided to get a family membership.
As it is now Barb can come with me and walk the very nice indoor track while I'm doing the rehab, but she doesn't have access to any of the equipement.
The Health Club has an excellent array of lifting equipement. When I was doing work hardening I did excellently on it.
The trainers come with the monthly fee and I believe they're the absolute best in Tulsa!!!!

Things are looking up, just have to get a little better so we can schedule a vacation to Arizona sometime this summer.
We will be able to get nice tans and swim everyday, go down and visit my younger Bro Finn and play some Flute Music among other things.:D :D :D :D

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Does this mean you're only going to cook vegetables on the Smokin' Pro? :) :p

Thanks Bruise.:)

Uhhhh, you ever hear of Bar-B-Que Catfish bud? :p ;) Didn't think so.:D

Thank you for asking, Heber. Mrs. L. is well on the road to recovery. She has even gone back to work (veterinary tech) part-time.

I have no doubts about the power of prayer.

Glad to hear everyone is recovering.

I am doing well. Work has kept me away from getting out as much as I use to and visiting here.

Will

Thanks for asking that question, Heber. I wanted to know but hated to ask. Now I know. The forum has grown so fast I can't keep up with who is who sometimes. And it bugs me that some of the new guys don't get given the attention us earlier forumites got.

Yes, the Cantina is about khukuris but it's also about people, and what I've learned from Uncle Bill is also what I picked up from the Walker River Paiute Tribe when I worked for them. Respect for elders - for that matter, respect all around to Creation down to respect for yourself.

Kinda reminds me bout the old farmer and his wife in their 15 year old pickup headed to town when they see a car coming the other way. A convertible with the top down, a young man in it, and a blonde snuggled up to the guy practically in his lap. After passing them the wife looks way across the seat to the old farmer and says " How come we don't set together like that anymore? The old coot looks at her and says, " I ain't moved. "

If I've moved away from other people, or from the sacred, it isn't their fault, and I'm not going to get them to move toward me, so either I move back closer to them or I'd better get used to being lonely.

Somehow this forum reminds me of when and where there's a gap I need to take care of.

Again, thanks Heber.

And I'm drinking as much Heineken as I can hold and smoking as many Camels and Shikars as I can without setting off the smoke alarm.

It ain't over 'till it's over.

All you old sickos should follow my example. If I could only get John Powell on the Heineken and Camels he's get well in three days.

This is great news!!! I'm glade you guys are getting your health back!!!:) Prayers are a powerful thing for sure!!!

Thanks for the updates everybody.:) It's great to know that things are going so well.:D Thanks for the picture Mike L.:)
