How are thumbstuds attached

Specifically on the 110 Slim Select. My thumbstuds loosened and now spin freely in the blade. Are these studs two pieces that screw together so that I can fix it with a couple pairs of pliers or do they just push together and the answer is to tap it lightly with a hammer?

My guess would be pressed together but someone who knows more than me will be along shortly

I'm thinking they're pressed in? Send it to Buck and have them fix it....

Does the stud wobble or wiggle?
If not maybe it is designed to rotate?
