Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out the best way to carry my RC-6 and thought I'd see what ya'll had come up with. I know I can use the MOLLE locks for belt carry but to me this makes the knife ride a little too high and seems kind of hard to get in and out. A MOLLE back similar to what you can get for the RC-4 & RC-3 seems like it would do the trick.., has anyone heard any talk of RC making one of these available in the future?

Anyway.., let's see some pics of how ya'll are carrying your RC-6!

They were having a lot of problems getting a good MOLLE back for the RC-6. Don't know if it got shelved or not.

I just put mine in a Spec-Ops sheath.

Jeff posted recently that Shon was whipping up a drop-down attachment of some sort. As you might expect, there's no word on when they'll be available, but it's a very exciting proposal! :)

I don't own a RC-6 but if I did it would be in a Spec-Ops sheath. According to their site a RC-6 has to go in the long version(by 1/2") but I would bet it will fit in a short. My 7" RAT7 almost fits in a short Spec-Ops.

Awesome.., didn't catch the post but I figured something would prolly be coming soon!

I got Andy at Andy's Leather House to make me a kick ass leather dangler sheath for my RC-6. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.

The nylon drop belt loop from a larger cold steel Kydex sheath(recon scout) seems to fit pretty well. Handle does not jab me in the side now and is easier to grab if on my pack waistbelt. I only like the techlok if I mount the knife to the side straps of pack. Sorry no pic's as I am bit of a technosaurus.

I clip the rc-6 to my bag and a rc-3 to my belt. The rc-6 is just a bit big for belt carry for me.

Until the drop down option is available, I have been using the paracord method. I like it more than I though I would, By not making the cord too tight you get a nice forward cant for a crossdraw.

Thanks for all the info guys!

I think I might go with making some paracord loops to hold me over till the MOLLE back comes out.

Been thinking of getting a Spec-Ops brand or Survival Sheath Systems sheath also., kinda torn between the two though.

This is my preferred mode of carry. So much so, that now on my custom ordered kydex for my other knives I always request that the kydex be wrapped on both sides of the blades and rivets included to make for paracord loops.

I think they are a major advantage over tek-locks. They are less bulky and don't get in the way when the knife is place in a pack pocket etc. Also when you pull the sheath off your belt, you can easily clip the paracord loops to a carbiner on your pack or hang it that way. They even kick butt on the loop of a leather sheath!
