how are your Nilakkas holding up?

I bought one of these knives a month ago, and after reading the warning card that was included, so far all ive used it for is food prep and to filet a couple walleye with it last weekend. when it first came out I was drawn to it like no Spyderco ever..... but then I read all the horror stories about damaged edges after light use so I held off hoping the issue would be dealt with. mine has the beveled edge and is showing no signs of rolling after being used on a nylon cutting board as well as a hardwood one, sooo....now I ask the members who have put theirs to some "real life" use, how are they holding up? I EDC an Izula II also, and being a slicer I obviously don't expect the Spyderco to be able to hang with the ESEE, but before I make this knife a part of my everyday trio (ESEE, Farmer and the Nilakka?), id like some feedback.

sorry about rambling on, but aside from the initial belly-aching, I haven't found much info on how these knives are holding up.

thanks,
Lee

I'm interested in this knife and am curious, too. Doesn't it have the thinnest grind of any Spyderco produced knife? Is that the issue?

From what I understand the grind issue was addressed in the later models.

I think they put a micro bevel on the blade that reduced the chipping issues. I have one on the way, and while I will EDC it for sure, I won't be using it for ANY hard use tasks.

This knife also intrigued me until I heard the problems with the blade chipping. IMO it's not a practical EDC. The design and weight is intriguing, but I wouldn't use for anything more than food prep or light box opening / cutting duties.
