In general, but with special attention to liner lock wear or failure.

It's still in great shape but honestly it receives limited use, day to day. I noticed initially the holes in the blade are not quite "round". Has anyone else noticed this?? It doesn't affect the functionallity but I found it kind of odd. Otherwise, it's a great knife.

Mine is holding up well. Not great though. I got a pretty big chip in the blade and that kind of ticked me off. I don't think the knife was to blame. I was slicing too carelessly and it hit concrete. Had to take quite a bit of blade off to make it disappear.

The liner lock it showing no wear at all. It is not my EDC however and only gets opened a few times a week.

I tried carrying it for a while, but found it too intrusive. If I want to carry a big blade all day it is an Endura hands down.

I do love the overall construction of this knife though. It cleans easy, grips great (with choil), cuts great, opens very smoothly, and locks up solid.

Thanks for the input...I have a love/hate relationship with this knife..specifically, I love the way the carbon fiber is put into the G10...beautiful...

I've got no problem with using a good linerlock, I've just never had a spyder linerlock before.

I actually really like the lock. I never put any pressure on the back of the blade so strength is not a big issue for me.

The thing I like most about the Spyker is it's flickability. It opens easier than any knife I've ever had and I really like it's smoothness.

I carry a Native right now and only use smaller knives at work (which is about 60 hours a week).

Personally I'm drooling over the Calypso 3 and will buy it the day it comes out.

I particularly love the blade design of the Spyker. Until I got one I never really gave "recurves" the time of day. But as a student of cutlery I am slowly but surely learning. Plus I think this Spyderco-Kershaw collaboration has been nothing short of interesting.

I have had 2 of them so far and I can't say for sure that the lock or anything involving the mechanics have flaws. I did have to send one back to the factory but they took care of it and they claimed there was something wrong with that lock that I was not even aware of.

Now I also like the other "recurve" they got called the Adventura. But I sure wish it had something other than a stainless handle. I don't categorically hate stainless handles I have 2 users that have them>> but I don't think that they are appropriate for all the knife designs that Spyderco puts out.

the adventura makes me drool . sigh . as soon as i can afford one i`m gonna order one from the u.s.a
