How bad did I price these Swing Guard Folders?

I listed these four knives for $450 and they sold in under 20 minutes, which makes me ask myself, "How much did I lose to stupidity?" 😝

If you got what you needed out of them, I'd daresay you did alright. These appear to be collector pieces. Could you have gotten more? Probably. You could also have priced them much higher and they could have sat unclaimed. Instead, you put them up for what you thought was fair at the time, and they've been claimed. Seems alright to me.

You were off a little, but not enough to worry about, you did ok on that batch :).

Swing Guards always fetch a premium, you could have probably gotten more but you made a quick sale and hopefully the fees weren't too bad wherever you sold them.

Unless one of those is super collectible, I think you did ok. It's not like the guy who sold a Schatt and Morgan swing guard for like $40 a couple months back.

It's hard to place an exact value on stag-handled traditionals, though, because it's a natural material that varies wildly. So you probably sold those for around the average value for those knives, but your particular examples have especially nice contrast on the stag. Some collectors would be willing to pay more for that, while others wouldn't. And if you happen to have two collectors who really like the look of a particular set of stag covers, it can result in a bidding war that produces a final price that other sellers can never achieve thereafter.

Hey, better than having them not sell. ;)

Such is life.

You want to buy something, you search for the lowest price, you buy, then the next day you see it for an even lower price.

Or, you sell something for what you think is a good price, then after it's sold you find out someone would have paid more.

There's always a lower price somewhere. There's always someone somewhere who was willing to pay more.

It's always the way. My motto- Be happy. Take the win. :)
