How bad is a little blade play in my folder?

As far back as I can remember, all my folders have been Puma Masters, as soon as I managed to lose or destroy one, I simply got my self another. With use, these knives tend to develop some blade play, but otherwise keep on working fine. Later on I received a Puma 4 star and a Boker as gifts, the former showing no blade play what so ever no matter what. Then I got a Benchmade Bali-song and CRKT Crawford Falcon neither which displayed any form of blade play. Eventually,I discovered knife discussion forums and joined this one then I began to be intrigued by spyderco knives which I had always managed to overlook perhaps due to their particular aesthetic. This summer I decided to get one landing an original Chinook and receiving a native (which I cant seem to be able to put down) as a gift :) .However, both spydys have alittle bit of blade play if I want them loose enough for one handed opening and closing :( , so how bad is that  . Thanks for your help.

In a good quality knife there should be no blade play, period. If my $25 Buck 110 manages to lock without any blade play, so should my Paramilitary that costs four times as much. It sounds a bit harsh, but that's what I believe.

I have five Spydercos and none of them has blade play.
