How big is a super CQC really?

Hi Forum,

still loving my shiny new CQC-7. Best purchase in a long, long time. My previous EDC was a Spyderco Military (besides the ever present Leatherman Wave), and as such this one is a wee bit shorter. I'm thinking about having my next purchase be a Super CQC-7, but I'm not quite sure how it compares, and specs only tell me so much due to my lack of a proper imagination.

Any of you have any pics of a Super CQC-7 next to either a normal one or say a Military?

Any input much appreciated!

Thanks, Paul

Err.. no not really, but that is probably because I am 'Forbidden to access server', whatever that may mean..

Thanks for the attempt though...

Then again, having had a look around, it seems my question is pretty much academic, since it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere..

Too bad, was getting really excited about the idea..

Having owned, used, and carried both. The Super 7 is my favorite knife... The super 7's handle will fill out your hand more so then the spydie milie. THe milie is more ergonomic though.

Well, by now I've pretty much made up my mind, so as soon as I manage to locate one, I'll be able to find out first-hand. Perhaps I'll be able to post the pics requested here myself, but it will of course all depend on when a next batch is made..

Thanks, Paul

All three sizes of the CQC-7b, along with a CQC16.

That is so awesome! Gotta get one!

And then this: the one shop I found that actually has a SCQC-7 satin plain edge in store has raised their shipping costs to $ 150. This is insane. I've ordered from them in the past, never a problem, but I'll be damned if I am going to pay that for transatlantic shipping. Ordered from Knifecenter.com just last week, US to Netherlands by Fedex: $ 30.

Grrmpphhfh

I'll find one eventually!

Thanks for the pics and comments,

Paul

the supers arent that much bigger, really, its less than .5" IIRC, the super SOCFK might be a tad more, but still not that much.

i've always wished he would make something really super, like a '12 or '13 with a 4.75" blade.

the super '7 blade length is almost identical to the old BM 975 FWIW, or the old I&I tanto (i like the I&I's handle better though FWIW).

as popular as the supers are i always wondered why the I&Is werent more popular, ya rarely see/hear about them, for those who dont know what the heck they are they are a 3.75" tanto on a handle similar to the viper or the A100 too i suppose, not waved, i have 2, a combo edge i edc'd for a while and a LNIB plain edge, i got both, again, years ago, on the exchange in swaps, i swapped a 90% or so spyderco lum tanto for the PE one, imho one of my better deals, the folks who owned them hated CG's FWIW and probably thought they got to me lol.
