How big is the Basic #5?

I don't remember exactly, but what I do know is that it was the "perfect" size for a small edc fixed blade. *mumbles about letting the one he had go*

police recuit, satin jack, basic 3 crinkle coat, basic 5 crinkle coat. the crincle coat basic's had a smaller choil then the smooth coats.

in hand. it has a small handle, but a very dedicated handle. its best in the one position (the one in the picture), but its very comfortable in that position.

My favorite of the Basics and the only one I kept. It IS the perfect size for EDC. I carried mine till the SHBA came along.

I didn't know that about the choil. Mine is a smooth coat.

BTW, VERY nice PR!

THANKS for the pics, SethMurdoc.
Now, I like that cute little police recruit, too. :D

hey seth, dont you have the basic 5 and the basic 3 reversed? i thought that the 3 was the smaller of the two?

its most noticable on the basic three, wich is where i've always felt busse's fall short on the large choil, creating an area for material to catch on on an extremely small blade. if you try to slice back and forth on anything thats loose, your almost gauranteed to catch it in the choil. the slightly larger choil was on the 3,5,and 7... not sure if there was any difference on the 9... its a lot less of a problem on the 7 and 9.
