I am about to order my logo from img-electromark.com

What overall logo size is is common for knivs?

Thanks,
Alex

i have 2 sizes but my logo is just my name
one for larger knives not sure the size
and the smaller one that will fit on the spine of a knife 3/16 thick

Mine is only 5 charactors long. Less than half an inch long and perhaps 3/32 nds high. I use a stamp from the Evers C0. Heat up the blade (prior to heat treatment) with a torch a small spot near the tang to cherry red and simply strike with hammer.

One drawback with this method is that you have one chance to do it right.

Out of curiosity, what does a stamp cost from Evers and how long does it take to produce one?

Heyyy.... Like a French Loaf!!!! - or 'petite pain' depening on the job at .... er.... nevermind.

Seriously though, Many makers order a few sizes. On a 4 x 4 stencil, you can easily get 4 to 6 sizes or variations - for everything from small folders to big bowies - add in a couple for steel type - or prototype....

Rob!

Nobody answered yet so I will put some in....it depends on size of stamp shank and number of letters whatever company you chose to go with. These folks have pretty good pricing http://www.harpermfg.com/hm_customknife.html and I am waiting on a small stamp from them plus the 1/16" and 1/8" letter and number sets. Take a look at their pricesheet on that link, it's a pdf file.
