I tried to block a mod who makes personal attacks, and the forum won't let me. Unfortunately, the report function is not useful, as the trolling mods(2 of them) dismiss the concerns. What can be done to avoid having to limit the areas of the site I can enjoy?

Looking at the history, man, It looks like you made a few of those beds.

Its way out of my realm of concern though, my area is a no drama zone.

You can't block mods. As to the other stuff, if you want opinions you need to do the work and provide links.

As above, you can't do it server side. That said, you can have a certain amount of fun client side.

I don't know anything about the specific issue you have. More generally though, look into how to use your browser to make substitutions for what people write. It'll still be written for others to see, but you won't get to see it.

Sometimes changing the username of an irritant to something that tickles your fancy is just enough to take the edge off. Other times you might want complete words or phrases. For example; I have “high carbon steel” swapped to “I know bugger all about blade steel, high, low, or otherwise, but I'll waffle the noobs to make them think I do”. And so on. I also don't suffer the way you guys spell aluminium ;-).
