How can I edit my signature?

I tried following the directions in FAQ, but it won't let me submit my modifications. I get the "already a member with that username" message.

If you're talking about changing your handle, I think Spark has to do that.

If by 'handle' you mean my user ID, I'm not looking to change that. I just thought I'd update my signature (the little phrase that pops up at the bottom of my posts) and I can't seem to make it work.

Well, if you can't change that by going into your control panel and editing your profile, then you'll have to ask Spark.
