How can i post photos of my knives on the Knife maker's gallery?

Hi, i'm an Italian knifemaker, i just registered in this awesome forum, i'd like to open a thread in the section knife maker's gallery, to show some of my works, but where i'm in this section i don't have the "post new thread" button.
so I'm wondering if this category is only for gold members or I just need of some admin to allow me.
i'm also looking for a "presentations" section if there's any.
I tried to search for an answer in the FAQ and rules section and also in other tech support threads but i could't find an answer, so apologize me if this is a repost.

It depends. If you are posting a large amount of pictures, it can easily be considered advertising, which is not allowed without said membership. Some makers have tried to post entire catalogs of work without any membership, and then inevitably people start contacting them and sales begin. That is what we want to avoid. See part of the benefit of the membership is the ability to post as much as you want, but sales go in a different section. Maybe before jumping in head first into this, look through these sections to give you an idea of how things work here.

OK, i understand, i'm not a full time knifemaker, i just wanted to post some of my work and get some opinions from the great knifemakers that this forum hosts, just to improve myself :)
Actually I make usually 1-2 knives at month, i've no intention of posting a "catalogue", is maybe here a section for hobbyst knifemakers?
 
That will work, The Shop Talk forum which is within the second link is what I was referring to specifically. Yes, the Knifemakers Gallery does require a membership to start a thread.
