How can I tighten/remove pivot screws on a Leatherman Wave

I have a Leatherman Wave multitool that's getting a bit loose and some rust and spotting is starting on the in-erds, I'd like to get inside there with some fine steel wool and oil it up. Is there a 5 prong torx wrench available anywhere to tighten the pivots on the leatherman wave? It didn't come with a wrench, and when I tried contacting Leatherman I was told all I could do is send it in for warranty. Any help is appreciated.

They are normal torx but of the security variety. If you Google security torx you will find what you're looking for.

If you have the model with 5-point fasteners (pre-2006), try searching
for pentalobe ts10.

Harbor Freight has a Torx bit set that includes security Torx for about $8. They're cheap Chinese junk but should work for a couple of relatively light repairs before they crumble like a Nabisco Cracker.

Thanks a million. Been trying to find the correct style of wrench for so long now.. I'm not sure why they decided to go with something so hard to tighten for the first runs, then they just went with regular security torx pivots for the newer models. Thanks again.

From my personal experience I've found that some type of thread locker is also used when they assemble the screws. I've used a torch type lighter to pre-heat the torx bit then set it in the screw and wait about 30 seconds to allow the heat to transfer and loosen the thread locker.
