How can one identify Blurs with newer, softer inserts?

Is there is a certain sku or date that identifies Blurs as having the newer, softer 'rubberized' inserts?

ive got my s30v blur right here in front of me, and the inserts seem to have a rubbery feel to hem, with slight give if i press in on them, im not sure if this is the insert you aretalking about, but if it is, my knife was made march 2008.

Online, the grip tape (sandpaper) ones have a "sparkle" in photos, they are inbedded, and they have fine grit.

The rubbery ones are like rubber polymer, they are bubbly, it overflows a little, and they have a larger "grit".

My Tanto Blur 1670BLKST has a BOD of Dec 08 and it has the rubber grip. Hope that helps u out.

Good, then the newer inserts have been in use since at least march of 2008.
