How can sog use foriegn parts in their autos?

Just wondering. I mean spyderco had to stop but right on the SOG webpage it states that the blades are AUS8 (which I dont see being imported to be made into blades on US soil) and the site says "assembled In the USA" which we all know is not the same as "made in the usa". So what gives?

The catalog used to say "Made in the U.S.A." but was switched a while back. SOG has pulled a few of these whoop-dee-doo's.
