How can the ZT0770 become a better manual flipper?

It seems like a lot of ZT0770 owners remove the torsion bar and make it a manual flipper. At least that's my impression.

The knife isn't know for being a great manual flipper, so what can be done to make it flip better?

I would like to know the same thing.
I'm afraid to de-assist mine on account of all the bad reviews of the 0770CF as a manual flipper.
