I have one without the Born on paper. Since there are no marks on the seb saying which material the blade is, i want to know which steel was used? I know it was bought in early 2006 from New graham and it is a Large "regular".

I was told to remove the blade and near the pivot hole there should be the letter "S" for S30V. If there is no marking then it is another of the earlier CRK blade steels.

aww poo I guess ill have to dig the birthday card out of the stack ...it says 1 of 200, wife loves the knife takes it everywhere. I hope it is bg 42 its never been sharpened so I cant tell

sigh ... its s30v whats this new steel they are coming out with....? should be soon after blade....ill have to get a blade fitted to my ummnumzaan...

When they switched to S30V, they still had quantities of BG42 that was available.

how i long for bg-42...... so whos got the scoop on this new steel..... seems to be real secret i hear 3 ummnums were made with it and sold.....any range reports?

I've got a large regular that is marked on both sides of the inner handle. I didn't take it apart, but it appears to be BG42, I can't remember the exact date, I am pretty sure B 00. I believe the steels were ATS34, BG2 and currently S30V. Wasn't there a sprint run of A2?
