Has anybody tried to change to white teflon washers on the HEST production folder with phosphor bronze washers?
I tried unsuccessfully to take the pivot pin (on the Torx side) out to measure the washers but it isn't going anywhere fast...
Any tips on how to and/or which PB washers to use much appreciated!
Thanks folks.

(Sorry, double posted in the ESEE forum as well :o)

Thanks to a helpful member I now know I should remove the entire G10 side scale, and not try to remove the pivot pin itself.
I'll post again when I have fitted replacement washers and let you know how I got on.

I did not have to take the pivot pin out , take the knife apart from the g-10 side of the scales the three screws then the black side of the pivot with the tool included things are tight but with a little wiggle you get the g-10 off then the liner push the lock bar away and the blade will slide off . I just used a # 10 bronze flat washer from the hardware store. I had to sand them slightly thinner I used a sheet of 400 grit sandpaper on a flat surface. the washer that goes on before the blade will also have to be made a little smaller ...outside diameter to clear the lock bar. after assembly the knife is a whole new knife even more of a tank than before ....good luck !
