After washing my hands and treating them for Hypothermia:D, I broke out my Meat Thermometer to check the water temp.

Mine is at 44F

No wonder my Coffee Maker is making Ice Cubes instead of Coffee. :D

45 here. Comes from a fairly deep well to keep it from freezing. Probably gets warmed up in the expansion tank in the basement. :D

When I lived in Calgary I would have sworn it came out at 34F. 36 in the summertime.

Coffeesickles  Maybe you should contact Starbucks with your idea.
It would be the first decent product they sell :D

I've never checked the water temp here, but it is definitely cold

Cougar I didn't know you lived in greenfield, ma. My sister runs a pub there called the peoples pint.
Our water is around 40 in the winter and in the low 80's in the summer

This morning, while at Home Depot for something, I did what every guy does at Home Depot for something: I bought something else too! I bought a non-contact IR pyrometer.

$29. You can't say no to that.

So, I put a measuring cup in the bottom of the sink and ran the cold water into the cup for several minutes until the water was as cold as it would get and the cup was also as cold as the water. Then, I measured it with my new pyrometer. The answer is 46F.

I then turned the faucet the other way and let the water and the cup get as hot as they would get. I measured that at 138F.

My refrigerator is 36F and my freezer is -4F.

I'm off to measure more things... a boy and his new toy...

C-C-C-COLD 42 degrees.

The water at the shop where I sort of work is even colder. It comes out
of the faucet in chunks.
