WELL??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

:( :( :(

It does seem a lot of posts get moved.....

What is the purpose of the custom knife forum now? What subjects are verboten and which are allowed????

Seemingly all the picture threads get moved (maker and buyer) and dang nab it I like those.

I think a lot of good discussion can be generated by the posting of the picture of a new knife.

One of the posts moved last night out of here had to do with production knives....you think we're gonna give Les the pleasure of telling us what not to talk about in a custom knife forum??? :D

And Tom, if you don't watch it, THIS post here will get moved due to severe lack of mandatory custom knife content

Hey Tom, send me a free TNT :p :D :p :D <------ mandatory custom knife content

:)

Being the jack booted egotistical thug that Gus is, he never leaned to count past 5. :D.

I really do not do it out of malice, but just wants to keep the forum cleaned up by not having too much production stuff discussed here. The other part has been the individual web-site update threads moved to the main thread. Without it, there would be times when many of the threads on a page would be related to site updates.
Most of them would read. Hi folks I just updated my site. Tell me what you think.

If anyone has any ideas, Blues and I always have our minds open as long as we stay within Spark's desires. Spark gives us a lot of rein as far as these forums and the last thing we want to do is go against the loose desires that he has.

Dexter, some free tnt would be on its way at this very minute, exceptn for the POSTAL REGS that disallow explosive devices!! :):):)

I would request the website thread be kept on top like an announcement and all superfluous posts (ie nice website etc) get taken out. That would be a nice resource.

I guess my major question is that I see some posts predominantly featuring a picture get moved (there was one with a beautiful damascus blade by a master smith I had never heard of, it was labeled "exposed" or something like that) and others don't get moved (shootist16 blackwood s30v thread).

Don't get me wrong I think they were both good posts, I am just curious as to what constitutes a "good" thread verses one that gets moved.

I understand blatanly commercial threads getting moved but these did not fall into that category for me.

I think that custom knives need to be seen and not read about to really be appreciated. If it is the 500th time the knife has been featured I'm all for moving, but anything new or a new variation I suggest would be approriate to stay here.

No goat threads though.......

Hi Dan,
You are right, The S30v thread should have been moved. (and i have done so). To be honest with you I did not read it thinking it was started by a mod and it would be in line with other discussions in this forum.

For the record, I do not like moving the threads to gallery either it has taken a lot of the enjoyment out of this forum for me too. At the same time, it has reduced the number of complaints that we get behind the scenes.

Tom, you would not belive some of the pettiness.

Help and suggestions were not what I was talking about. :D.

(That means thanks for the times you and others have helped me out here :)).

OK, I will kill the thread with a blatent picture! :D Cept the knife isnt for sale, it belongs to a Spec War guy.
