How come no body likes DPMS rifles with Leupold scopes?

I've been trying to sell this thing for two months and haven't had a nibble. I'm losing $700 at the price I'm asking, I don't get it. I thought DPMS was a popular rifle. I know they're quality guns, and Leupold scopes are really up there! What the crap is it, am I not asking enough?

You might want to try selling the scope separately. I've never had a problem selling Leupold glass on eBay.
 
Yup, sell the scope seperately. I've never found traditional scopes and AR type rifles to be attractive as a combo. It works, but it just doesn't seem right to me. That's coming from a guy with an A2 with a Mark 4 on it.
 
Yes, separate the two. I think most view an optic as a 'personal' choice. even if you are including a great optic, most will put something else on the gun.

And DPMS is popular, but sadly, they don't seem to garner much respect at the big AR-15 forum on the interweb. I feel DPMS makes a fine gun. I have a DPMS lower and I am happy with it.

BTW, nice looking piece! Why are you selling it?

I have offered to part it out in my posts, still no bites. This rifle is a .308, that's why it just has a scope on it. I could have bought iron sights for it but I knew I wanted a scope so it didn't make sense.
HiKeeba, I had some problems a few years back and got out of knife making, sold all my gear. I want to get back into the craft now and since I have 3 grand tied up in this, took me 6-8 months to put it together, and don't use it, I figured it would be a good way to finance some knife making tools and supplies.
I know if the Lord wants me to make knives again, the right person will come along!!

Not that I dont like them but if I had the funds it would have sold the day you posted it here. Trust me I looked at it for quite a while. Nice AR you have there.
 
That's a .308? Cool. Yep, I wish I had the funds. I've been thinking about a acquiring a .308 in the future (next year, if I'm lucky). Dang. Bad timing.

Good luck with your sale and getting back into knifemaking!
