how common are large Micarta Damascus knives?

Previously owned a Large 21 with Damascus blade and wood inlay but the polished titanium really turned me off so I traded it off.

I realized now that Micarta knives were either previously available or are still available with damascus blades. I dont see them having polished titanium flats so i'm interested.

Are they "common" or was it a limited run that I'll never run across now?

Any input would be helpful!

I think they still make them. You just don't see em very often. A popular dealer has one in stock with basketweave atm.

It's at Blade HQ BTW. Just checked the list of supporting dealers and they are good to go.

They are a standard offering and not a limited run. You just have to look around dealers as the ones with damascus blades are not always in stock.

I have a small version from the factory, but larges are also out there. Just have to look around and/or be patient since they come up on the used side as well.

ps. They are the only inlay that can be blasted back to new... and at no charge.

Seems like i used to see a bunch of them a while back, but now, not so much.

The raindrop/micarta was my first MUST HAVE, but never did get one! I've had everything BUT!

thanks for the input, looks like I need to do some selling and snatch one of these puppies up.

Nothing "special" about them and as the folks above explained already, they are offered by CRK dealers from time to time. I think the point why the combo micarta/damascus may pop up less frequently is that many people regard the micarta inlays as ideal for edc purpose and may find it "strange" to add a touch of "luxury" to it with a damascus blade. From that viewpoint it is a bit "special", which is nice :-)

James' explanation makes total sense... and I guess PJ Ti's with damascus are also not the norm.

All these look great!!!

I may have my preferences when it comes to Damascus patterns but I certainly wouldn't be too picky depending on price and availability lol
