How cool would this be?

Boss Jack Light Brigade.

I'm talking a real slim Boss Jack (.19 or less) with a good sized fuller, milled out handle and maybe even make it hollow ground.

I figure the Boss Jack is already a handy, light and effective mid-size blade, so making it thinner and lighter would just add to its strengths. (anorexic Boss Jack anyone?)

I'm curious, what do you guys think of this idea?

I'm looking for feedback, hopefully we can brainstorm here.

Any suggestions about how this light brigade should be done? Any features I'm missing, or any oversights on my part?

I believe if you keep a keen eye you will find some busses that meet that criteria , busse has lots of great options

I have a.171" Boss Jack, Sabre Ground, No fuller and NO skeletonized hilt and LOVE IT!!!

Frankly I HATE :grumpy: skeletonized anything or even milling the hilts. I trust solid tangs period. Had a skeletonized break on me about 10 years ago and swore I would never own another!!!

A pic of it when my sheath was being made.

That's definitely something to consider, but I must say I would be less worried about a Busse breaking--the TGLBs have milled out handles and I've never heard of one breaking.

How'd you get a .171 Boss Jack? That's thinner than anything I've ever heard of.

Correction, thought my memory was better but I was wrong. It's .175", just put the calipers on it to verify. Mine is one of the Custom BJ-LE's and yes they are a lot thinner than the CG's.

I'm guessing this mystery blade was not Infi…… I haven't seen any busted skeleton tangs made of Infi yet.

You are correct Brother and I as well have not seen any busted INFI-tangs of any size!!! Just not willing to take a chance on one. Jamming one in between some rocks and stand on it is not beneath me. Granted I'm not an idiot and I will not do that to a small knife like a BJ, hell I'm 260#'s for crying out load. When I'm out in the bush I plan for worst case scenario period. I have a pack in arms reach when I fly up here and if we do crash I will get out, if I'm alive and conscious that is.

I have a double cut convex Boss Jack and I love it how it is. I wouldn't want it thinner or milled out. We are all different though.

Elmax Boss Jack woo hoo :)
