I have heard that cts-bd1 is pretty rust resistant...how much difference between bd1 and say...154cm? Anyone have any practical experience with this?

Well, I've used both and never had either rust. But then I've also used M4 and O-1 without having them rust. If extreme corrosion resistance is what you seek, go with H-1 and worry no more.

From what I understand it's similar to VG-10 with is pretty corrosion resistant.

Hmm, don't own anything in vg10. I have some 154cm knives I fish with (saltwater) and they get occasional rust spots. I also have a dragonfly salt, which is great, but I just ordered the manix 2 lightweight. I know it's not h1 but I was wondering if it would have any advantage over 154cm in rust resistance.
