How did the Viele get so smooth?

I was just doing a bit of contemplating over one of my favorite Spydies, the Viele, and it hit me (one of the reasons I love it) it's opens so much smoother than many other spydercos.
Does anyone know why or how the construction of the "guts" of this knife differs from others? This is true of every Viele I have ever picked up.

the washers (spacers) and steel liners on both side of the blade reduce the friction and therefore enable the blade to be opened with less effort...
it was done this way because the opening hole is smaller on this one.

If its anything remotely like the action I get on my CRK Mnandi (phosphor bronze washers), then I think spyderco should Consider introducing it to a few models... It feels like a massive difference.

on my Viele i suppose the washer are made of Teflon plastic.

and Yeah, it would be so sweet to see that on more Spydies.......
But then again, I have check many new knives lately.......
