I just came back from starbucks. Had a few mochas and smoked a Romeo y Julieta churchill. Went to the Walmart and picked up 2 bottles of sparkling cider which I will probably open using my waved karambit. On midnight I will turn 27... another year down the drain. Have a safe and happy new years everyone.

We are having a nice and quiet peaceful evening at home. We don't go out on New Years Eve. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

As a side note, I will be celebrating 21 years of sobriety tomorrow

I'm on duty this New Year's Eve. I will celebrate tomorrow.

Go out for a draft cider before midnight, and come home before the mass exodus of alchoholics starts. Probably take some friends home, and make sure they don't pass out on their front stoop.

Kinda reminds me of princess Leah before she kills Jabba the Hutt.

I went to bed at 10:30pm,sober..(new year has been and gone here),up at 4am for work. One more day left on my shift then i will have a drink or ten.

Happy New Year to all on the East coast.

I'm here at BFC this New Years eve, worrying about my daughters, who are both out partying. (Neither of them drink)

And my old lady is sound asleep.

I'll have a drink when my daughters are home safe and sound.

I will shortly imbibe some single malt in salute of the New Year.

We bless your daughters, Mike. Safety to them and to all tonight.

Be careful out there.

ADD:
Well, looks like we are going out with a jiggle.
Little 2.2 earthquake about 30 miles away (So says the USGS). I only felt it cause I'm on the second floor tonight sitting quietly at the computer.

Kinda in the same boat, here at BFC sipping caffeine.

Your post reminded me to call the wife and tell her to not drive home from her mother's after watching the midnight fireworks. My daughter is only one but never to early to start worrying.

My Dad assures me that a parent never stops worrying about the kids, so we got that to look forward to.

:p

Best part of new years for me... I get to spend it with her (look down)

We got together 2 years ago :D

I put up a pot of coffee. Vodka, no vodka? No vodka, vodka?
Well, it's January already, too late for partying! :D

How many gunshots did you guys hear? I live in Fresno county, CA. I heard lots. Then again we have a lot of Nortenos and Bulldog (Hisp. gangs) here. Good thing I have kevlar:rolleyes:

Just finished rigging 5 trout poles for tomorrow/today. Got a fishin license for Christmas, and going to Lake Casitas, between Ojai and Ventura. Better get some sleep, but could not stop thinking about a beater fixed blade, jprobably vintage military to buy for camping this year. I think about knives way too much! Happy New Year Solid Soldier. Great job! One day at a time.

Friends, booze, and food.

Food and friends are gone. It's down to me and the booze now, with some Leonard Cohen to keep us company. It's four in the morning, the end of December... :)

Rocked in the New Year with Cat Daddy and the 12 Barz at the Stock Exchange in Bisbee, AZ.

I called work and told them I would indeed take the 11-7 overtime shift I'd previously turned down and noone else wanted. Figured it was the best way to stay out of trouble. Visited my parents first and plowed through a porterhouse, salad, steamed vegetables, and watched the first half of LSU beating the crap out of Georgia Tech.

Plenty. The sound of shots is nothing unusual at my work but there hasn't been this much gunplay in the ghetto since the night Obama got elected.

Had some pizza with my wife (the prettiest girl in town) and hit the sack. It was a good evening.
