How did you first hear about Fiddleback Forge knives?

When I first found out about this forum, back in Oct. I was amazed by the enthusiasm and loyalty of the folks on here. In the few months I've been here the demand has sky rocketed. Andy has a great new business model. But you core guys were ahead of the crowd. I'd be very interested in hearing about how you "Old Timers" and newcomers discovered Andy Roy and FF.

I discovered Fiddleback Forge in October 2013. I wasn't even looking for knives at the time. I was shopping for sharpening stones on YouTube. I watched a few Virtuovice videos where he raved about Bark River knives. I decided I really needed another knife ( the 60 something I own are just not enough). I wanted to see if Equip2Endure had reviewd any. BOOM. He had a review on a knife company called Fiddleback Forge. I was impressed to say the least. I've been collecting knives for over forty years. I had never seen anything like Andy's knives. I wanted to order one. Went to the website. No good. He doesn't take orders. He did mention FF Fridays on Bladeforums. I'm now the proud owner of 5 FF knives.

To be honest, I was on knivesshipfree.com and just happen to click on Fiddleback Forge. I saw a Kephart that caught my attention and bought it. About a week or so later, I came on here and found this part of the forum. At that point, I became an addict. Two months later, I now own 10 of them and could not be happier.

I stumbled on a pre-owned Bushfinger on eBay... bolstered, jade green, tapered tang... I got it in my hand and I was addicted. Now I have a couple of Bushfingers and can't get enough!

Man, it is an addiction. My wife keeps giving me funny looks. When I'm watching TV I'm usually holding a FF knive. I'm looking around for things to cut. Andy. It's all your fault. Keep em coming.

I first heard of Fiddleback Forge when I was talking about knives with this crazy guy named Dylan Fletcher some years ago, then he introduced me to Andy at Blade later that year :)

Yeah, I almost drowned my laptop with iced tea! LOL, a couple what...couple dozen maybe? :)

Ha, Or a "couple" of safes to store them all in!

All in gest Will -- You've got a great eye for Fiddlebacks and an envious collection my man!

Thank you my friend! You have acquired some nice ones (and had nice ones pass through your collection), yourself!

My first intro to FBF Knives was on the KSF website. I was looking at several knives on that site. I saw a beauty of a knife (either a Bushcrafter or an Arete ...not sure in hind sight) with Osage scale. Having grown up in Oklahoma, I have a soft spot for Osage Orange wood. Unfortunately, I waited and considered while it got bought out from under me. I, instead, bought a Benchmade Seibert, which has great steel but a miserable handle configuration. I must admit, I had some real misgivings about going with O1 tool steel instead of a super stainless, which is understandable living in the Houston area.

A couple years ago a guy over at sigforum.com posted a review of a FBF knife. I liked the review and did some Google searches. As time passed I kept getting KSF's weekly email and periodically it would mention FBF...did more Googleing. I kept watching and lurking in this forum and finally decided it was time to try one out.

My best friend told me about Fiddleback last Fall and it's all been downhill (I mean great) since then!
