Well, I woke up, ate, then took a nap, and now that I've just woken up I'm about to go eat again.

Yours looks more exciting, but mine involves food and sleep. It's a tough choice  Merry Christmas!

I'm at work!!! Listening to Head East, Montross, Uriah Heep, & Nazareth, winding up for NEW YEAR...

Watching the Grinch and taking notes :)

3rd Christmas in a row I've had to explain to my children I cannot stay with them Christmas night because people need the Police to help them every day....and night. Soooo after waking at 11am yesterday, working through the night shift (one of the busiest Christmas Eve/Christmas Nights in our History...who ever thought family and friends could turn so violent) got home at 6am to do present with my youngins, then breakfast at my parents for 8am, left there at 10, slept till 12 then drove 45 miles to New Orleans for Christmas dinner with extended family (Grandma is in pretty rough condition) for 1pm, left there 245pm to come back home where we had dinner at my house with Lady Gravel's family (they are staying with us from Tennessee), ONLY to have to work another full 12 hour shift tonight.

Merry Christmas, I hope you all had a slower one than I with MUCH more sleep.

Rant over.....

I had Christmas dinner at my parents house in AZ.

I'd loaded the scoot into the truck on wed. before the blizzard hit, left fri morning headed west to Utah, south through Moab and down into AZ. Had to avoid NM, I-40/25 was shut down off & on for snow.

Great trip down, saw a bald eagle sitting long side the road, a mountain lion digging mice out of the snow and only got 1 speeding ticket. Going to putt around here for the rest of the week.

Woke up, cooked, breakfast at Church, Church, present opening with family, lunch, nap. Great Christmas, my son in law was on leave from the Army, first time we got to see him since June .

Gravelface- that sounds rough. Sorry to hear that you've had to leave your family so often on Christmas but thanks for continuing to serve and protect

Glad to hear most folks here have had a good Christmas day, especially skunk!

I wouldn't change it if I could, love my job!!! Just been a really busy 36 hours.

Drive south a bit :)

As much time with as much family as possible.

Especially, my son. Back from Basic ... for a little while.

The older I get, the more my family matters to me.

Spent time with my friends, family and in-laws. Stayed in town, not travelling this year. Drank, drank and still drinking. Smoked some awesome FFOXs. Perused a gun store drooling on the inventory.

We told the kids (7 & 10) not to even *think* about waking us or going downstairs until 0600. I set the alarm... thinking I could get a shower in this year and a cup of coffee before the madness began. I hit snooze once and at 0555, they were in a common room upstairs reading to one another with a clock in sight. 0600 and they began to scream then run downstairs.

They rest of the day involved loading batteries, eating, finding missing parts, eating, playing board games and helping building lego sets.

Even with not being able to travel and see g'parents due to the 7 y/o's strep throat, we're fortunate.

I said it before, but Merry Christmas folks!

(Jason- GET SOME SLEEP! ;))
