how do you think the different fixed blades
match up? which models do you like?
which one would you get 1st, 2nd, etc..

Rob,
It looks as though you have not member specified your post...so I'll give it a shot. I imagaine that you have either the Model DB or you really do have a "Custom" version of the BT...you will have to confirm which one. In any event, the choice of tool is so incredibly subjective it proves somewhat a frustration to those who have limited funds and a lot of imagination. Choices can be made from an aesthetic sense of what you have seen in ads/articles or from a tactical standpoint of what might be more appropriate in your mission parameters if you fall into the MLE (Military/Law Enforcement) category! This would only represent 2 perspectives and is very limited in scope...I'll point that out before someone else does!! If you have the DB, then the tanto shape may be very appealing to you OR it might have been the only knife available! In this vein, many of my customers havce opted for models that receive a lot of press, Models BT,WB,DB,AD,KH and the Tiger seem to fall into that line as well as the FS (I think Mick and Duane are still holding mine somewhere safe!) Purchases can be driven by tactical need and subsequent employment of such a specific tool OR even the acquisition of a STRIDER for the express purpose of having to have an item which lends itself to the artistic in its existence. There are as many reasons as there are owners and all of the perspectives have value. Consider your circumstances, weigh out your needs and dare I say it your financial considerations, if any...then go for it. I haven't seen a poor choice yet...nor do I expect to. If I can help...give me a write back.

Rob,
Additional info, more specific:Model KH, very easy in the hand and EXCELLENT in specific application; WB,very good balance in the hand with the weight very even across the knife - it was the first knife that I ordered...but the 2nd one that I got!; Models BT...(my first knife) and MH have their weight a bit more foreward of center and the MT has a really excellent feel to it whether in the standard length or the shortened version. Again...no bad choices here! Hope this helps...
Stay Safe,
Joe
