Still sorting out Bilbo's stuff...pack, etc., and Frodos too, ring included. Just now getting a couple of the kitchens sorted out and some of the field locations picked out.

I see what you did there.

And this thread is gloin to be epic; if it's like anything Mist has done bifur.

This will be much like some things I've done in some ways, but unlike any thread I have ever posted before :)

What about second breakfast?

Lol, it's a good line, and fits with Hobbits, but it's mostly a Jackson add-in. Elevensies actually is their sort of second breakfast, much like a 9 o'clock coffee break is for most workers. The second breakfast and second supper mentioned were not and every day thing, but were only occasional and mostly brought on by stress :)

You need a walking staff and a handkerchief. Don't want to have to walk all the way back for the handkerchief!

Awesome thread.

Thanks. I have a few different walking sticks for this project so far, one made by a friend here on the forum I will be using. Definitely trying to sort the pocket handkerchiefs pipe and tobacco. Luckily Tolkien's Bilbo had better friends than Mr. Jackson's :)

Light on equipment and heavy on the victuals!

I am sure I have said it before, but in case not, I really love these threads and pics.

Precisely! :) Thank you, I am glad other folks are enjoying the idea of this project. It has deep meaning for me personally, and is something I am driven to do, and determined to do as well as I possibly can. It gets complicated creating little snapshots of Middle Earth. and at times more expensive than I hoped when I first started putting it together several years ago. But getting to know the various artisans and farmers I am finding for this project and developing friendships with them is also very rewarding. It's not going to go as quickly as I first hoped, but as it is a labor of love, I am glad it won't end too quickly.
