How do I blacken a Buck/Strider pocket clip?

I will be receiving a Buck/Strider large tanto, in the very near future. The one thing I dislike is the bright finish on the pocket clip. So, does anyone know how to effectively subdue, or blacken the clip? I don't want black crap flaking off on my clothes though. I have never done this before and wanted a bit of insight before I undertake this project. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Sincerely,

Thanks for your input SPECIALIST. I wonder if a Boron Carbide finish would work? It certainly would subdue it. By the way your link doesn't work. Maybe a a slight error somewhere. Any tips for home application, good spray paints, etc.? I realize this wouldn't be a Black T or Boron Carbide finish, but it might work well enough.
Thanks...:D

Here is SPECIALIST's link

You could try some of the bake on Teflon coatings from Brownells. (Stock Number 083-048-801) I've never tried them personally, but Brownells is known for quality products. (For getting a single clip done, the Black-T would be cheaper)
