How do I buy a Busse?

So I'm curious about what my options are for buying a Busse. Obviously, I can watch the exchange and try to snag a deal. But as far as buying directly from Busse, are you really limited to the blade finish options that are on their website? or, for example, could you order a TGLB with a Satin, Double Cut, or Comp finish? (although I'm not sure what Comp is exactly) If so, what type of additional cost are we talking? And how accurate is their 4-14 week estimate? Thanks!

Competition finish is no longer available from their store. Other than that you should contact the custom shop.

Personally, I've largely just taken advantage of the ganzaaas. A few off the secondary market. I think I would have been ahead of the game to just go order what I wanted from the custom shop, though I'm pleased with what I have.

A word of caution - once you start, you can't stop!

The satin one was just offered a couple of weeks ago. This is what they look like. You could call and see if they still have them available. They're listed as Team Geminis not as Team Gemini Light Brigade which is what they're offering on the website. A few TGLBs were bought with competition finish (coating never added, just raw infi buffed a little bit) before being discontinued. I don't think double cut has been generally available.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not familiar with ganzaas, could you elaborate?

So, would I be right in saying that the 7 knives on their website are not a full representation of the knives one is able to purchase direct from Busse?

A Ganza is to us like "Virtual Show" (or more simply, "Virtual Sale") is to other makers & customers. It is an online offer of specific knives that are announced and described before the time of sale... i.e. "The GO Button". Please feel free to take a look at the sticky threads from the last Ganza at the top of the main Busse forum page to get a feel for how they roll. :)

How do I buy a Busse?

This question takes on a different meaning for me. I've been as uncessuccessful at buying a Busse as I have been at eating a Lays potato chip. Betcha can't have just one... ;)

I'm thinking that Crack is among the mysterious elements in INFI. Damn stuff is pretty addictive. :D

Good luck finding the one you want... but it won't be your last. Welcome to the madness...

.

Just call the gals at the shop. They'll set you up with want and give you a quote. They're great to work with. If you email, it make take a couple days to get a reply...they get a lot of emails.

Like so:
Open a new CC with the biggest limit you can muster.
Go to the website (www.bussecombat.com) or call Busse and order one of each available knife.
Next you figure out that 4 -14 weeks is too long to be without a Busse, so head over to the Exchange. :grumpy:
Find and buy at least 3 knives from the Exchange. :D
Take them out an beat all 3 (if you can, chances are one will stay pristine)
Start posting in the B-8 and ASH-2 threads.
Recognize you're doomed like the rest of us, and learn to enjoy it!!! :D

And there you are....

Actually I asked about that just about a month ago. I wrote asking if they could do a tglb in satin and got an email back saying no. Only the finishes listed were my options.

Easiest way to buy is to take your bank account, and have the contents wired directly to Busse.

Hey buddy, I got your Busse's right here

Nice ones. Straight from China...

You don't!!!
Just steer clear of this place if you want to be able to pay off your mortgage, provide for your family and stay sane at the sight of the new shiny blade!

Sold one to a guy in a Hooters parking lot at dusk once.:D

Alex....as crazy as this sounds^^^^ I have a deal going down in a parking lot with a girl from work who is purchasing one as a Wedding Present for her Fiance...its a twisted world we live in and ya gotta love INFI....:D
