How do I change my membership status to reflect my current membership ststus?

Unfortunately I couldn't afford to renew my Platinum but I was able to scratch up the money for the Gold at least, (support our forum with a paid membership guys) anyway, how do I get my profile to show my current ststus and also am I eligible for the Becker Necker that they were givin' away as part of the Fall Membership drive or am I exempt cause I just renewed at a Gold instead of a Platinum?
