Seems like a dumb question, but I really don'tknow much about axes.
I have a Granfors Bruks small forest axe that I broke the handle on (don't ask).
Anyway, I plan on just getting a new handle from the local hardware store and replacing it. What I'd like to know is how do I go about getting the axe head off the old handle?
Any advice or general tips on changing axe hadles would be appreciated.
I also have a big old felling axe that I confiscated from my gramp's barn (a True Temper I think?) that has a pretty crappy handle that I need to replace. There is also some more work tha tneeds to be done to that one, as it is in pretty rough shape. Nothing some sand paper, Flitz and a stone wont fix though.
