Sam,
Your getting good advice here! GunScrubber cleans stuff great, but will completely degrease everything, including your scales. Then you will be freaking out because your CUDA Quick Action scales have turned WHITE
.
I simply wash my folders out with really hot soapy water, then clean HOT water. Let dry. If I have access to an air hose or canned air, that helps to dry it out faster. I then wipe the blade down with Tuf-Cloth and put a drop or two of Tuf-Glide in the pivot. The pivot bushing [bronze] and molded blade washers [impregnated with moly-disulphide] provide plenty of lubrication, the tuf- glide helps a little more, and wards off any corrosion in the pivot area.
Rem Oil is a good grade of oil, but like any oil, it attracts dirt and stains clothes. Tuf-GLide and Tuf-Cloth dry completely, and prevent rust better than anything I have ever tried.
BTW, we haven't experienced any problems with 'stuff clogging the slot' with our Quick Action folders. If this is a worry for you [and I don't think it should be], Rem Oil will just aggrevate the issue by attracting dirt/pocket lint.
Oh yeah, thanks for deciding to be a customer!
