How Do I Dull These Things

I started cleaning out the garage last weekend and thought it'd be a good time to cut up all the cardboard and see how long it took to really dull some of my higher alloy blades. I started with my M2 mini-machete (5" blade, 0.055" stock). I cut a laundry basket worth of cardboard into 1" x 6" strips and it would still cut a folded pocket notebook size piece of paper sitting on the corner of my desk. I finally dulled it cutting spray applied fire proofing off of steel columns this afternoon. I'll clean it and see, but I think at this point I'll be able to sharpen it again with nothing more than my Sharpmaker.

Next I went to work with my 154CM Griptillian. I cut 2.5 kitchen trash bags full of 4" x 4" cardboard squares and at the end it would still slice paper, trim fingernails, sharpen pencils more acute than any mechanical sharpener, and it even cut a little hair off the back of my knuckles (no ape jokes please).

My goal was to see how long it took to get these 2 blades to the point they wouldn't cut paper. Fail on both blades. I'm out of cardboard, time, and energy. I chose these 2 because they also hold the longest shaving sharp edge of the knives in my collection. This kind of stuff makes me really regret selling my Kershaw Randon Task in CPM S60V (formerly 440V).
